THE APPROACH TO INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE

The approach to integrative medicine

Integrative medicine puts the patient at the center. It takes into account the full range of emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, and social influences that go along with having a disease and finding that cure. Integrative medicine understands and takes into account that person’s unique set of circumstances.

This approach will take health care to another level and really understand the person at a personal level and address things that might be the cause, instead of just the issue at hand. Dr. Fadi Bacha at Anti-Aging Institute, will look at the current situation but also what is to come of it. Dr. Bacha and his team will think of the patient’s future and what is in their best interest. It is a fact that a person’s psychosocial, behavioral, biological, and environmental influences are a part of who that person is as a whole.

Why Integrative Medicine?

Integrative medicine shouldn’t be taken as it is similar to alternative medicine. Alternative medicine usually takes the approach that is different from that of conventional medicine. Integrative medicine uses conventional medical ways, for the most part, to help heal the person of a particular ailment.

Some of the defining principles of integrated medicine are:

  • The mind, body, spirit, and community are all taken into consideration when working with an integrative patient.
  • The patient and medical staff and practitioners are a team in the healing process.
  • If there is a method that is less invasive, that will be used whenever possible.
  • Integrative medicine provides the patient with what is best for their particular situation. We believe that each patient is unique and different, this is why we look at our patients as a case by case.
  • Here at Anti-Aging Institute, Dr. Bacha and his team of experts, are always exploring and expanding their knowledge in all areas of life and are curious to seek more knowledge so they can better serve their patients.

How Does It Work?

Integrative medicine addresses the immediate medical needs of the patient.  But, it goes much deeper than that and offers support in all aspects of the patient’s life.

If you are seeking help with a medical issue, Anti-Aging Institute in Lexington, KY, might be the answer. We take the extra time to get to know and understand our patients.  Dr. Bacha looks at the body as an overall and not just the one issue that you have. It is another level of care that is becoming more and more popular as people are more interested in their health and the well being of their bodies.

It focuses on health and healing as a whole and not simply putting a bandage over the problem. This is a better way to offer medical advice and help than simply just offering the treatments that are taught in our medical schools. It offers help and assistance that will complement the treatments that the patient might have to endure. This sort of medicine will take into account the emotional, social, and mental well being of the patient. Here at Anti-Aging Institute, we offer advice and also work closely within a unit to be able to support the patient in every manner.
